I went in to this morning just to take extra supplies from Costco, however, the place was very busy so I had no option but to roll up the sleeves and get into the sink to help. Jamie and the new chef David were on and were certainly kept busy right trough from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. when there was a bit of lull . The Clansman Breakfast's were going out fast and furious, normal breakfast with double egg, black pudding a steak and a roll - just what doctor ordered.
Plenty banter in the kitchen which is how they manage to keep sane I think , and poor JP was well on the receiving end today.
One of the customers, Lawrence, who badly injured his foot some time ago has discovered this blog so I promised I would put in a brief line about " picking noses" . Reason being that when I was out topping up th parking meter and passing the Police Station, former District Police Station built in 1908 I saw a car at the traffic lights and the lady driver had nearly lost her finger up her nose !! Its one of these things that folks do when they think no one is looking - like being invisable , same as the folks who continue to use mobile phones when driving thinking they will never be seen, but that could be more dangerous than having a "quiet bogle".
Had a surprise visit from Jim Hannah of "Dash Security", Kirkintilloch / Bishopriggs, Glasgow, my pal who I have not seen for a while. Looking well and another one run off his feet with work.
Back shift arrived, including Johnny the Gigalo , who has been chatted up by a ravishing foreign lady, and Shareen and Neeve who were happy enough to pose once again.
Se having had the most wonderful rib eye steak which just melted in the mouth, along with Ann's chicken fahitas and a smooth creamy strawberry cheescake which you could die for , we left in the rain.
