Having managed all our "chores" and dropped off supplies at The Mercat Bar where we also bumped into Kerrin @ Little Princess and her friend, we headed down to Leith to the Ocean Terminal Complex.
Ann did her usual touchy feely thing with clothes and perfume in Debenhams while I wandered off and ended up getting a half hour back massage at "The Relaxation Station" in the main gallery. It was one of those where you just kneel on the stool type chair and get worked on through your clothing - the girl was very good, certainly dug deep and this morning I can feel the benefit of it.
The two pictures, one obviously is The Royal Yacht Brittania, a wonderful ship well worth visiting, full of history and absolutely immaculate for its age. The other is the HMS Jura, named after one of Scotland's Western Isles rather than the whisky I think. Used by the Navy but I did not go down to find out what for . The weather was nice and the main dock was as smooth as a mirror.
We then got tickets for the Ocean Terminal Vue cinema, movie - "Sex and The City" which was Ann's choice. Maybe next time she will want to go and see "Narnia" as she had a wee seat in the chair on the way in.
Bought our coffees, etc and took our seats before she told me it was a "Girly" film , obviously based on the Cult TV series which she had never ever seen. However, I must say that I actually enjoyed it. It was funny , well written , some lovely ladies, good fashion , some excellent scenery !! especially where Samantha is lying naked on the table covered in strategically placed pieces of sushi - and then her phone rings!!!
The version of "Auld lang Syne" sung at the new year sequence was amazing and a beautiful part of the film. From a ladies perspective, and as I was the only bloke in the cinema I suspect that they appreciated some of the male actors more prominent attributes. The writers and directors did a god job turning it into a one off movie. Then it was off to The Mercat Bar.
