For me it is morning here at Blue Bay Villas, Doradas ( have a look at their web pages) , at home , good afternoon - and with a long and late evening i did not write before bed, but hopefully the photos have made it a bit more interesting - maybe more later today when I get time.
Yesterday it was games by the pool again , but being not quite 100%, I only played bouleson the beach and tossing the horseshoes, etc. Simple little games which prove so difficult then the animation staff, who have lots of practice go and get perfect scores.
So - last night I was introduced to the General Manager, Oscar Lora, who was responding to the comments we had made about our visit to the Pescador Seafood Restaurant, and has taken them on board. It transpired that he was present when things went slighty awry, but has remidied the problem already. It appears to me that the management really do take things very seriously and all comments and suggestions are discussed fully with staff. it looks like I will be doing my usual after holiday report back to the hotel, but bearing in mind I generally operate on the principal that if you cannot say anything good about someone , do not say anything bad, and try to be constructive rather than destructive.
I was up on stage to get my Certifcates for Shuffleboard and water vollyball - plus kisses from the young lady animators, Dee Dee and Queenie.
Our excitement started with the BINGO last night , the animators, managed to get off to a bit of a bad start so the rules of this particual game were not quite clear, so initially there was a bit of confusion ' Then there were prizes, so it got very serious - same at home, with feeling running high as the rules were changed - to try and save time - BUT you just cannot do that especially when there were some excellent trips, massages, meals, etc being given to the winners. Our friend Carol ann was co winner in the sudden death bingo (last game) so they gave her a T shirt and the man a day out on the quad bikes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After mild debate this was resolved and she now has a day out on a horse trip.
The magician was superb and finished with a wire balancing act and some circus stunts - he was whipping watches off folks wrists and one lady, even although she knew what was going to happen could not stop her bra disappearing !! First class.
To finish off the night one of the guests from the USA took the stage, the microphone, called his lady friend up and then got down on his knee and proposed to her - beneath the twinking skies - ever so romantic.
Perhaps Sir Chris will pay attention to this act - which had Mrs B. reaching for her hat box.
Early call this morning from Ian @ Cookie calling from the land of OZ where he has probably just escaped from Botany Bay , not sure what he was after but he sounded Ok and will call back.
Now having had my breakfast, lovely waiters, Nilson and young Alexandra, we are out in the sun again and i am off to swim and get in a fankle doing my yoga.
Npow a piece of useless information - the day that Robert Burns (our national bard) first arrived in Edinburgh, was the launch of the inaugural mail coach service from Edinburgh to london , which took 60 hours, and now i can a message all over the world in seconds.
Manyana amigos.
