Tuesday Part 1

So called long lie, but still up and thenm into the busier traffic to get to town. First delay was due to an accident in Lowrie's den , penicuik, which was closed off by the Police, then long queues on the A702 through Hillend and Lothianburn.
En route had a call from Graham who had made it to Glasgow on his flight but and had met up with friends of ours at the airport who had offered him a lift home. It was Malcolm Graham and his wife Norma ( "the lady who used to work with me!!!) who is now the Chief Constable of Central Scotland Police.

So Mrs. B. and I eventually made it into town where she left to go walkabout while I went to the Mercat. Big team on as we had a large group in for a pre booked lunch , Lee, Chris, Jamie, Claire, and the three girls, Ilene, Iona and Christine.
There was a nice wee present for me from Mark and Adele, the Welsh couple from Swansea who were in on Monday - that was nice.
While I had the chance I went to get a haircut , the boys were late as this was the end of Ramadan and they were getting prepared for the "feast of Eid al Ftr" hopefully got that correct. Anyway, good haircut , ears set on fire, etc, so nice and tidy for the forthcoming holiday.

Lunch time and just before the rush , my friends Danny and Katriona arrived, out on the town for the day and needing fed, so it was two of the finest haddock dished up at the toot before the big group arrived. Lovely to see them and when Mrs. B. arrived back we had a good blether and then dropped them off on our way home.

No sign of my digger driver at the tramworks, but the lads there had their usual 10 a.m. tea break and an hour plus for lunch , with the usual skivers nipping off to use their phones and go to the bank , etc.

See part 2.
