Late edition of "The Good Food Guide" - Dominican

Here I am running well behind schedule following last nights escapades !! Ended up being last away from the pool bar, sitting under an umbrella in the rain , which eventually cleard to give us a "braw, bricht, moonlict nicht", this caused us to sllep in by an hour this morning.

Anyway , last night after watching CSI on the TV in the room we headed back to the Pescador Seafood Restaurant, Blue Bay, Dorado, where having been formally greeted and seated by the head waiter, Frances, were presented with a special menue for the evening . We had ,
Appetisors - mussels done in oil and garlic : Starter . prawn salad with a fan of peppers and wallnuts: Soup - pumpkin and corriander: Sorbet - mint , to clear the palate . : Main - steak with prawns ( surf and turf) with carrots, potatoes, brocolli, cauliflower, etc - accompanied with a side platter of mussels in tomato sauce: Sweet - chocolate cake with ice cream : Coffee and Ameretto . Washed down with red wine and champagne.

Realistically it would have been hrd to find fault with the meal, but I did prever teh mussels in garlic to the mussels with tomato sauce - excellent, no rush , just very pleasant with Frances being attentive but respectful. And with a personalised menu .

We had intermittent heavy rain showers most of the late afternoon and evening , but this did not stop the entertainment, etc.
There was a dance troup on stage with fire eaters, nubile young ladies, Aztec type sacrifices (show style), which was pretty good, and a great band played on till the bewitching hour.

Today - the sun is shining , so we expect another 31 C session.

Have just managed a shorter swim than usual, but from the pool was watching the "Predators" cirling, looking for their prey , and one chap spotted a couple, headed of and intercepted them while the second was not paying attention , then the second realised what was happening , his head came up and he was off at the toot to join in the hunt. However - the "prey" were too smart for them and managed to escape.
Mrs. B. still suffering from the cold, etc, which is not good - but what can she do.

Off now, things to do , places to go and people to see - as they say.
