Cheating a wee bit this morning, I have just written my morning E mail to Bob Malcolm on Radio Forth One, and have just discovered that I can copy and paste into this site. Hopefully no one will mind a but of duplication.
Bob
woke up suffering from "work lag", too much and not enough sleep to recover, however, Budgie and I have just been singing / chirping along to the Proclaimers, very good.
Yesterday, set off with the "bus pass" waiting on the McEwans 101 but it sailed past full to the gunnels, bodies everywhere ( just like the buses you see in India). Anyway, travelled in style on the X47 - driver must love zooming by all those stops.
The roads department were joining in with the Free fringe, they had done an "Andy Worhole" at the foot of Liberton Brae, coned off the inside lane and cleared off - no hole / workers, etc Saves them getting abused by the motorists.
My free fringe show yesterday was Pete Gold at Venue 282 (Mercat), a singer /comedien ( bit like yourself) who was good . Accompanied by nice bowl of soup and a "croc monsieur" ( big ham and cheese toastie).
Rumour has it that the chefs are doing an experimental "Tacrem chicken tika" special today" ( mercat spelt backwards)
I see that there are swarms of flying ants all over the place, unusual site, but they are doing no harm, other than frightening folks who are scared of creepy crawlies.
Another gripe - people with umbrellas, they just charge along the pavements and it is up to the poor innocent to dodge aside to avoid getting jabbed or blinded. Smaller ladies are the worst as their brolllies are at head height !!.
Time for a cuppa.
