An evening at The Sportsman's Bar

Just a wee bit tired having made it to bed at 3 a.m. , bumped into Graham when I arrived home. He was just home having spent the entire day at "The Mercat" apart from the couple of hours he was at Murryfield watching Scotland fail at the hands of South Africa.

Anyway, Shaun and myself took over from Robbie the Aussie and Michelle. A nice group of regulars present most having enjoyed and being reasonably happy about the football results, other the Hearts supporters who had lost 5 - 0 to Celtic, but the banter was OK, all being friends so there was a general wind up with comments such as "give us a high five", Kevin, Darren, Colin, Kirsten,

Crowd away golfing to Marbella including Jackie Macnamara and Jess @ "Murphy", so sales of Glayva will be down dramatically.

"Karaoke" Ann appeared at 9 p.m. and soon had the singers on their feet Paul @"Peas" did his usual two numbers before leaving with Julie ; "Wee Paul" arrived late, but stayed later than usual. There were some good singers and some some who needed a bit more practice..

Joined on the bar by Wee Karen and Elaine, who kept Shaun going and did well with a good humoured crowd. Couple of new faces and many regulars missing, but a nice atmosphere.
Pauline arrived and apologised for accidentally wakening me at 1.05 a.m., Stuart ( chef) was suffering at the hands of a couple of young ladies!!!.
Shut the bar at 12.40 a.m. the place emptied itself without any fuss. Big Karen @ Kaz, wee Karen and Pauline were off "up the town" so Kevin F just had to tag along to keep them right - good lad, doubtless all will be suffering now.

Its is a lovely morning, sunshining , budgie going daft waining for his breakfast and making his presence felt as he zooms around the conservatory - he only stays in his cage overnight, rest of the time has freedom of the house.

Have a masonic committee meeting at Gorebridge this morning and then off to a BBQ at the Courtyard bar, Bonnington Lane , later.
