Long day but good

Evening, ready to go to bed, been a long day, good but we are shattered.

Firstly, spoke to Grant who manged to retrieve some of his lost work, but has not yet finished the job.

Went to town with graham, had a steak and egg, wine, breakfast at The mercat, and the most beautiful cake, frshly made as a surprise by Claire.
Then headed off to Ocean Terminal by bus, en route watched an Edinburgh Council cleansing motor, one of the small ones which empty the litter bins, SB06WBN, two men on the pavement, three (inclusive of driver) in cab, and the driver was chatting away on a mobile phone - and this I the council who want to make cuts in Education and Social Work .

Just as bad in leith Walk where theyare causing chaos doing work relating to the new tram ilines, two sets of road works, at one, there were two me, one lying dozing in the cab of his mini digger, the other was sitting in the sun on a pile of muck drinking tea (1155) and at the other , five men just staring into the hole in the road - none of these guys would survive if they were self employed.

Anyway, went for out Spa treatments at Pure Spa, had a lovely deep tissue massage with hot oils and paraffin wax, Ann had a facial but they had forgotton that she was due another treatment so we sat for 50 mins then got fed up, had words and eventually had to leave.

Bought a copy of Robert Coopers book, "The Rosslyn Hoax".

Met up with Archie, Tracy and wee Cameron at the Standing Order, where they had a lovely bottle of Tattinger Brut on ice for us. Sat for a while then we all went down to the Princes Street Gardens where "the girls " had a go on the Carousel and swings. From there, round to the Grassmarket, stopped for pizza and drinks and just to people watch it being such a lovely night.

Aound 9 p.m. made it to the bus and home. Very nice day.

Just watching the documentary about the death of Princess Diana, and the news photographers who are nothing but predators.
