Sore head this morning - wonder why.

This morning letter to Bob on Forth 2.

Whole house is up this morning, Graham is on the breakfasts today at The Mercat so when he is up we are all up and Budgie is going wild being left behind. Ann is wandring about is a daze telling me to say happy birthday to everyone !!!!

Anyway, yesterday turned out good after all. Made it to the mini tattoo in the Gardens, what a wonderful show and great opportunity for the locals to get a taste of the main event. Precision drilling and great music. Wandered the gardens afterwards talking to some of the bandsfolk who are just loving the Scottish hospitality in Edinburgh. Then something no one will see in the tattoo, the Essex County Volunteers, in full period costume all had a ride on the Carousel, what a sight, hurtling by, sabres drawn, they enjoyed themselves, why not.

Had a glass of wine with Archie and Tracy at The Standing Order, and THEN, made my day, had a chat to the lovely Arlene Stuart in the Lane Bar, what a charming young lady, very kind of her to take five minutes out from her show. No one warned her about talking to strangers I think - anyway she loved Budgie.

Hope you enjoy your BBQ, complete with the Green Marrows, Cousin Walter normally brings is ginormous ones for the pub, but weather this year put paid to that.
Unlike you, I will be working this weekend.

Have plenty to do this morning and hope to go to the cinema tonight, will report in later.

At least the sun is shining and forecast is reasonable for the day, bit rain later on , but we hope to go see the new Jason Bourne movie tonight,as this is release day.
