Had a good run down the A 1, via Dunbar, to Grantshouse then over through Preston to Duns where my long time friend Andy Mimms did a full service to my bike ( 750 cc BMW tourer). He has been looking after it for the past twelve years, but only moved to Duns a few weeks ago following a fire in the adjacent premises at Berwick on Tweed which has forced him to move out of his workshop.
While he took it away for a test drive I had a good blether to his mate Davy about things Masonic. I then headed homewards via Greenlaw, Carfraemill, up the A68 and cut off at Pathhead through Gorebridge and home. Round trip of about 85 miles, well worth a run as there is plenty to see, some nice stops, and a variety of road types.
