Its Friday now - and the town is busy

Up, up and away in the words of Superman - we were off to Ikea at Loanhead, where having found that they did not have what we wanted, discovered that Mrs B. had left an important package in the house we had once again to face these bloody awful and unnecessary roadworks at Ploverhall on the A701.

However having returned home she received quite an important phone call - so chance was a good thing , but I must get the new phones and ansaphone up and in place - perhaps a parrot would be handy. On that theme I see an article in the paper about Mark the parrot who is wonderfully rude with lots of bad language.
Into town once again and with George Street jam packed with motors and no spaces I had to let Ann out at The Standing Order so that she could go and give Archie a present for Tracey's "bump" and a birthday present for wee Cameron who was four yesterday. So for me it was into Morrison Street car park and then round to The Mercat Bar which was very busy with lunch time diners. The staff were kept on their toes assisted by Graham and Sir Christopher but eventually things calmed down.

I was able to get a couple of pictures today of Sir Christopher and Agnes, Agnes our Polish girl who was a bit upset with the late draw for Poland last night , and who got things a bit mixed up a couple of weeks ago when a chap asked her to go with him to The Livingroom - which she took to be an invite to his house and not to the bar in George Street. Sir Chris and Sir Graham are away to Lockerbie tonight to take part in their annual fete / border ride out, etc, bearing in miond that Graham was a past Penicuik Hunter's Lad. The difference this time is that the horse will have needed to have its porridge for breakfast and rather than blinkers it will nead ear muffs!!
Ann had been into Fraser's Store at the west end to see the girls on the Channel counter so I received another late birthday present of a nice "Allure after shave balm".

"Johnny the Gigalo" as you can see is back and in good form , perfectly happy to accept calls from genuinely interested ladies, mature or otherwise!! He forgot to give me his mobile number.
Struan is back from a rather wild trip to Palma Nova and admits that for him five days of solid drinking was too much.
Any now home, nice bottle of my birthday red wine and about to watch this evenings football.
Tomorrow - Saturday, being another day - and I have a sort of busy masonic weekend to look forward to.
