A n exciting day - maybe

Al startred off as usual, up early , quickly into the dining room before the sun had cracked the trees, then out to our poolside seats. Hoever, with Mrs. B. still unwell we kept in the shade all day as the old mercury hit 88f or 31 c. Hot enough to water down the G &T if you ndid not drink fast enough.

managed my impersonation of a whale in the pool for a good aerobic session, then headed for the Spanish lessons, bit of a swiz today as we only tried how to learn how to count because our usual lad was away at school doing his own lessons, learniong french to add to his German and English, certainly puts us to shame.
The persuaded to take part in the shuffleboard game, which ended in a nail biting tie and a sudden death play off with you know who, emerging as the victor - which will mean there is another cewrtificate to add to my growing collection!!
Our intrepid horsemen had a great time, at first thinking they were going to be taken into the wilds and mugged, however, their guide took them through a lovely plantation and to a local pub where they were well received and looked after by the local landowner. They came back raving about it and have booked upo for next week with Carol Anne expecting to have to but Dennis a horse when they get back to Ireland.

Had a look into the small gym , did a few stretches to untwist the old back, spoke to the man in the Spa, which is lovely , but with UK high street prices for the treatments - which apparantly suit our frinds from the USA and Canada.
Had a wander out into the wide world, this place is very nice and being purpose built the shops are new, a nice shopping mall - loads of booze and things to look at, etc. Met up with "German" Mike the tour salesman who was recommended to us - pleasant chap, on the ball and selling the same tours as the hotel at about 33% off. He was saying tath most of the stuff in the shops are copies , including the cigars so we were advised as to where to go etc. But , being a tourist trap, NOTHING is cheap, we paid twelve pound for a bottle of aftersun !!!

Anyway , had a change and went to the managers party where all the staff were introduced to the guests, Dinner was around the poolside, well laid out so we bagged a table for four early and stuch there for dinner and the show which was a circus with trapeze artists, clowns and jugglers. This was one of the few professional shows they have here.
This hotel used to be a swingers have, double four poster beds dotted about the complex and adjoining rooms, but it has not stopped two elderly welsh ladies from coming here for their ninth trip - or am I missing out on something?

The coffee tonight was magic, laces with tia maria, brandy and rum - set on fire and topped with cream.
All the compurters were tied up so I managed to get the lovely Doralize of Customer Service to let me have a go on hers - very kind, So trather than spoil things, time for bed.

Adios.
